- Grow the movement to defeat the Trump agenda and Project 2025
What is Indivisible Tompkins?
We are a chapter of Indivisible founded in January in response to the second election of Donald Trump. Our goal is to protect and support democracy in our communities and nationwide.
We take advantage of being “10 square miles surrounded by reality” by being a foothold for activists in the region who want to get involved in their communities. We do that in part by organizing Action Teams, holding rallies, Honk & Waves, and educational events. We also encourage our members to support other grass-roots organizations working to help the disadvantaged and marginalized communities in our area.
What is Indivisible?
The nation-wide organization, Indivisible, is dedicated to preserving democracy – real democracy. A democracy that is of, by, and for the people. Check out their About page here.
One of the ways it does this is by empowering independent chapters nationwide to organize in a way that makes sense for their community – what works in the NYC metro isn’t going to be as effective in rural Nevada, and vice versa.
